BCS Customized Training
Esri authorized courses provide a foundation of basic GIS skills but do not always
provide the necessary details for the specific project needs or the client.
In such cases, it is often beneficial to utilize the customized training services
provided by BCS. The addition of customized content provides students with the ability to apply their new GIS skills to a real project needed by their employer. Often new GIS users arrive back at their office without a clear starting point to
apply their new skills, do not know where to start back in the real world and the
skills deteriorate for lack of immediate use. The addition of customized content
can prevent this and immediately bolster the confidence of new users.
Customized class content is available in several ways. It may be integrated
into an ArcGIS I or ArcGIS II class in the form of an extended chapter, a third
customized day of lecture and exercises, or a completely customized class may be
desired.
